Sc400 tranny...solenoid connector?
Picked up a tranny and the connector to the solenoid (i believe it's the solenoid) has 8 wires where my tranny has 6 wires.
my car is a 92 SC400...i assume this came from a newer SC or something?
any ideas if the tranny will still work? is there a way to bypass the other 2 wires or something?

yea buddy i think the 95+ transmissions had two more terminals on the plug, making them an 8 pin connector.

so any way to get around this? swapping VBs? is it as easy as dropping the pan and swap wiring harness from the solenoids?

Could it be for the kickdown that was a cable on the 92 and switched to a solenoid on newer models?

the extra 2 wires looked like it was for a temp sensor or something.
dropped the pans and the harness swaps over.
