Default New tps gone bad?

hey guys, so my car has been running like **** for the longest and i almost gave up on it. only reasont i havent junked this thing is cause i knew it used to run great.

so ive thrown just about all the parts possible at it including a brand new TPS from toyota. finally got a hold of a pretty expensive datalogger and the tps is showing no signal at all. everything else checks out.

any reason other than random factory defect that a brand new tps would go bad? just wanted to make sure i dont get dissapointed when i throw a new one on here.

there might be some damage on the harness. so you should check with a volt meter for faulty wires.
