Many people here are running this setup.
I used E-manage blue and it worked great. I don't know why so many people hate on the E-manage blue. If someone knows how to tune it, it will turn out great. My car was always turn-key and never stopped running on me.

I have hear some good things about the emanage ultimate from jdm map based people. For conservative numbers(<500hp), it is what I will probably end up with. Some people have reported issues with it, but then again, you hear about issues with all piggybacks(and even some standalones) if you look hard enough.

Map-ECU 1 does not affect timing? How is that? So it doesn't manipulate map signal like safc? That sounds like a great alternative to me too then.

Map ecu is better than SAFC hands down.
But please make sure you have a tuner that can tune whatever ecu you decide to go with.

Yea I hate the SAFCs. All they basically do is trick the computer. Standalone or Chipped ftw.
