coolant temp sensor, please help!!

Default coolant temp sensor, please help!!

just finished my 1j swap into my sc, when i plug the coolant temp sensor in the gauge just goes straight to hot!!!! could it be that the soarer gauge cluster is digitial or did i just do something wrong??

any help woud be great

If the 2j and 1j sensors put out different signals that could be causing it. A bad ground could also do that, along with a bad sensor.
