hey guys strangest thing, last nite i used my car bout 15 times going in and out last nite nothing strange happned .today go to get in my car fisrt time today and pull door handle 10 times not opening i said strange y wont it open, so i pulled and pulled and then said scrw this i went on the pass side and opend from the inside. any idea wat could have happned tryed again still dont work

Possibly the clip that holds the linkage broke and the linkage disconnected. You should be able to open the door from outside, hence it has a different linkage than inside handle. You should pop out your panel and look to see what's going on.

Its the inside that works. Take off the panel most likely the cause is the clip. Its about 8 dollars I believe from the dealership. Mine broke today too.

search for the tutorial on how to replace it. It states the part number on that thread and you can go to the toyota dealership to get it. Its cheaper there too. I think like $4.

oh u guys rock , i was so embarssed when everybody askin me hey y are u getin in fromthe passenger side. i will on my day off check it out now the inside door handle has a tite feeling to it

ps oh crap i rolled my window down the yester day it half way and notice it got real tite and i heard soemthing hit so i roled it back it up and i got tint on my window and noticed ascratch and i rolled it down 3 more times and i was like **** i better keep it up. cuz it stops half way.
