92 sc300, alternator plug question
OK, so here goes...
Im swapping an unknown year/model GE engine in my 1992 SC300. Pretty much everything is the same, minus a few connectors. The only one im really concerned about right now is the Alternator plug.
The alternator im using is from the 92 lexus, and it has a round plug with 3 wires. The harness im using was already on the engine, and the alternator plug is rectangle with 5 wires.
Does anyone know which of the 5 wires im going to need to splice into the 3 wire connector for the alternator? Or if not, can anyone provide a wire diagram for each of the type of connector for the alternator?
A couple of the other plugs that are not the same are the horn, and a sensor on the rack and pinion. Im not too concerned about these atm, becuase they will not keep the car from running. I may run into other connectors with the same problem, which I will post up to try to help others out in the future.
Thanks,
Mike

Ehhh. not really. Swapping the harness with the engine in the car isn't very fun. Not only that but my original harness is tore up. Damn near every clip is broken, and im not paying for another NA harness. Id rather just look at some wire diagrams , and splice in the correct clip. I was hoping someone here would have a quick answer, but I guess ill have to pull some wire diagrams at work tomorrow.
