Default Which tranny mount for R154 and 2jzgte?

So if I use the auto tranny mount, the shifter housing sticks up too far. If I lower the tranny too where the top of the shifter housing is flush with the tranny tunnel, I get this. Its about 2 1/2 inches.

What tranny mount do I use for a 2jzgte with an R154?

Also, where is the shifter housing suppose too sit?

keep jacking the transmission up! the factory shifter housing should be about level with the interior looks like you got another 2 inches to go up. then just make spaceres ( washer) for the remaining gap. i use the mk3 supra rubber bushing and the sc300 brace and mine sits a little up but its pretty close to perfect still.

Ok, so for searching purposes, this is for people that are install an R154 and want too use the automatic transmission mount.

This is what I used:

4 collars/spacers 1 1/4" long. This puts the transmissions where I was told it is supposed too sit.

4 Bolts at least 60mm long. I used 60mm but I think the should me about 10mm longer, but they have enough threads left over too work. The bolts are 10mmX1.25.

As you can see, the R154 shifter works perfect with the shifter housing extension pieces I got from Champion Toyota in Austin TX's. I did cut the center piece of the console, but that was before hand before I knew it wouldnt be a problem.

Enjoy

take your shifter and heat up the bottom and bend it back a tad bit so that it sits in the center, i had to do that with mine.
