Default Best turbo and lag for 600 whp

ok guys, i have a 98 sc3, and going to either do a na-t or swap it to a non vvti GTE and go single i think. just looking for opinions for the best route.

i want 500-700hp, with the fastest spool possible. was thinking 72mm with a smaller hot side, but what do you guys think??? also could look into upgrading the stock twins if i go that route and it could provide faster spool. or i could go 67mm or something... not sure. jsut seeing what you guys think for fast spool that hits nice!

precision billet 6765 or 6265.

borg warner 91-79 or 88-75.

The latter turbos being smaller than the former. 6265 and the 88-75 will probably have full boost in the 3-3.5k rpm range while the 6765 and the 91-79 will be around 4k. Stock cams. Obviously the larger turbos will reach your target hp with less psi.

I have a bullseye borg warner s366 which is a 91-79 except custom exhaust wheel.

Large twinscroll a/r for flow with a dual wastegate manifold for response. This part is largely debated. Some say that small a/r will improve spool, others say that it doesn't do jack. I have a .91 twin scroll. Usually with a 67 people opt with a single scroll .81 I can tell you right now, I get full boost at 4k on the dot.

Please somone correct my information if I'm wrong.

I am aiming for the same power goal and both the 6265 and 6765s will do it no problem with a nice Fuel setup and good EMS.
I bought the 6265s .81AR and then changed, I have always wanted the 67 that's why i got.

On the Na-T and the GTE part it's you choice which ever route you go make sure you do it right.
They are over 50threads about GTE or Na-T search and weight your options .
Good luck.

thanks, ive done many na-t's, had 2 na-t supras, a 99 gs300 na-t and done many other builds. but i deff want a gte since ive never had one. and the aristo's are cheap, just upgrade the turbo, cams, injectors and its pretty much ready to go.

What's the goal of the car? Is it going to be a dyno queen?
The GT35R is a wonderful turbo but way over priced, i got it because i got an unbelievable deal on it. My WHP curve is a straight line all the way and couldn't ask for better curve. My muscle car friends couldn't believe how linear it was. However, for the price Borg werner has better options. But i think 600 is possible with 61mm if you're willing to push A LOT of boost

600whp is a lot of ludicrous speed, especially for the street. I recommend thinking of the most responsive and least laggy turbo that will meet that 600whp goal at max boost. This way, you enjoy a broader powerband on a daily basis. Power under a wide torque curve is where the fun is at .

This would probably be billet 6265 or the borg warner s362. People are right, you will have to build your engine V.E.

It depends on what he wants: Is it bragging rights? is it a roadcourse car? is it a drag car? Or all around street?

it will be dragged here and there but not a drag or track car at all. i want like 450-500whp for daily driving and be able to turn it up for drag nights and also saturday nights. wouldnt mind being able to brag about 700whp. i manage a valet company and all these rich *******s that brag about there 500hp cars, id love to fire back at them with a higher #

and i dont mind pushing high boost, but i just want the fastest responsing turbo i can that can reach 650 - 700hp.
