Default What oil do you use in your sc?

Well I know there are many opinions and views on which oil to use, but I am considering switching to synthetic with 195k on the clock and have my concerns. So post up what oils you guys use and pros cons whatever.

Mobil 1 at least every 3k.

I usually get enough leftover for free. Right now I have almost enough to do 2 oil changes. Just changed my oil 1500 miles or so ago. Might do it again just because I have the oil and I'm running out of space to keep it in.

Toyota filters.

I tried RP + K&N filters on my cars but didn't notice a difference. So I went back to w/e is on sale @ Kragen or WalMart and Toyota/Scion/Lexus filters.

German Castrol 0w30. Thats right. 0w30.

Also Redline for transmission and differential. Had royal purp in my tranny and it sucked like a hoover. Super notchy shifting. I'm talking having to put all your weight into a throw to get it into any gear.

Also redline is less expensive.

^^ amen to that. I'm going to run that after im done with my swap and the engine is all broken in. Toyota filters because i get them for free

I use Royal Purple for my tranny and it takes a while for it to work well, but even then is still somewhat notchy. Im going to hit up Redline fluid and see how that works.

Yea I think im gonna switch to mobil 1 high mileage synthetic, but ive always been told synthetic is risky in older motors because it can leak past the seals easier. Until recently I was told otherwise.
