Default My 1J running

So.. i got the1j running, simple swap, not so simple wiring.
the Details
Time.. 4 days
2 16 hour days
i spend 1.5 16 hour day wiring it,
the rest was prep.

as for wiring, i did cut the co ax cable, all 8 or so of them. i rewrapped them with braided stainless steel, all heat shrinked
every single connection was solidered, even the coax.
every connection tested.
i did make it about 24" instead of 18, erroring on side of long rather than short... it is infact too long

tools used for wiring
10 gauge wiring, 2 feet
12 gauge, about 10 feet
stainless steel braid.. about 16-18 ft
18 gauge, 200 ft!
strippers
1.5 lighters
a whole **** load of heatshrink
1 soildering tip
2 small tubes of rosin core, after that i bought the 1/4 pound roll

tools for engine
ALL

also a walbro. i bought a carter HP pump and a walbro 255 came inside

it was pretty unevent full
i forgot to put the radiator draincock in i asked my gf to get it, she "accidentally" kicked a whole open gallon of antiifreeze in my face!

fingers ravaged, body tiired, but worth it to hear it growl!

and eveyone says "wire up the neutral" but noone says how
you can actually start it through the neutral safety.

need to put the face back on, need to get the exhaust redone to accomidate the new engine.

first start up. i prime the fuel pump

congrats on the first start! For the coaxial cables those are for the knock sensors correct?

Any pics of the setup?

there are a **** load of coax cables. i think 4 and 2 groups of wire that are sheilded. if i had to do it again and read " dont cut the coax" cut them at the end where they connect to the ecu. dont hack half way into it like i did. the heater valve wires needs to be lengthened too.

has anyone tried what the supra guys do, put a new hole in the fire wall closer so you dont need to extend wiring?

ok so an update, it's all stock up front, only a 3" dp back, apexi black turbo n1. even stock restrictive *** box
dynod!
run one , exhaust with silencer stock boost 9.26
max whp 246.26 max tq 268.52
run 2, open 3" stock boost 9.26
max whp 265.51 max tq 268.83

suprisingly the tq kicks in way earlier on the corked one
everyone even me was surprise by the power and it ran super rich after 4k rpms

those are good numbers on only 9psi. at what point do the stock twins stop breathing? seems like you have plenty of room to play before you decide to go single.

i think around 14. also i was told i could pick up upwards of 15whp because of how rich it was, the dyno doesnt read lower than 10 points on the air fuel ratio. so i need to install the afc and get it retuned
