Lol yea man air is a fluid that's why planes can fly
and guys this 60mm waste gate is huge! it ressembles a small 2 stroke engine on a pocket bike or goped
Ok so I've been wondering how much psi will these original head gaskets handle safely and whatmods may I be looking at when installing the intercooler piping near the head lights??? Thanks in advance guys
Hey guys I haven't had time to spare lately the project is rolling very slow but school ends soon so it should take off again soon.. Since the last update we made the 3.5" downpipe from hotside to the right side of the engine and were using v band clamps along the way.. I saw a notchback mustang 5.0 with a t67 and a 3.5" exhaust Nd it just sounded straight up beast I can't wait to hear this 1uz
3.5" downpipe is a little overkill, but it's ok as long as it can fit in there. Make sure you ceramic coat every pipe, and maybe the turbo turbine housing, too. A professional shop can do it for around $300. Or you'll get overheating with all of those heat that gets absorbed back to the engine.
well i meen I plan to keep this car for a while and i have hopes of pushing over 600hp one day so i might as well make the downpipe once lol.. ceramic coating?? i plan to wrap all the tubes with header wrap is that enough?
If you wrap around mild steel, it'll rust terribly. But if the pipes are stainless steel, then they should be wrapped ok. The advantage of ceramic coating is the inner side of the pipe can be coated, thus it'll prevent the pipe from getting hot and cracked.
600 bhp or rwhp..Either way, that's hot and tempted! Beefing up the rods and pistons is a must. But 400 rwhp is more than enough for me on streets. We're talking about near 500 rwtq here.
Header paint to prevent corrosion and wrap to keep it cooler? nd guys school ends soon so it will be finished soon I hope.. Can't wait to shoot some vids for you guys of the 1uz flexing .. Does anyone know the part number for 1g eclipse 390cc injectors? And I'm looking for an apexi safc anyone got one laying around for sale? Thx guys!
Today I bought an Apexi NEO to tune the car!!!! so now i can wire it and put the interior together! I also Machined an adapter disc to line up and weld both the ford and lexus driveshafts! this thing is coming together well!! and plans for the exhaust is 3.5" from the turbine to about right before the rear end were it will split into two 2.25" pipes into N1 style Mufflers..
this is awesome very nice build where are you in fl? once i get my 240 back on the road and extra $$$$ ill be turning my 400 into 5spd turbo drift machine
Thanks man I'm in Hialeah fl it's the north part of Miami.. What do you have in mind for your sc400 as far as tranny and turbo selection? Btw both ure cars look sick
MIT lol I wish man I do go to an aviation school called George t baker here in Miami although I plan on going to embry riddle and doing aeronautical engineering and I'm doing an internship with American airlines at the moment so that's kept me from working on the car as much as I'd like to be.. And I actually do natural body building on the side to stay healthy, thanks for th support guys I can't wait to finish the thing, hell I gotta post up some pics soon
Well. Guys I made an adapter for the drive shafts to mate both the ford one to the Lexus half on a lathe out of mild steel and got it tig welded today by a really really good welder.. So I'm really happy and if I hvent said it yet I wires the apexi neo to the car already and routed the wide band wires
painted the down pipe and wrapped it, i also went ahead and wrapped safety wire around it to make sure it never comes loose, this thing is nearing the endIm stoked!
