Default TRD Strut Tower Bar on SC400

Here are some pictures.... My cousin lent me the strut tower bar of his MKIII Supra. Tower bar came off MKIV.

Yeah I know. I'm not suppose to put washers/spacers as it defeats the purpose of having the bar. I'm currently looking for a CNC machine shop to have them make me a sold spacer just thick/tall enough for the bar to clear the intake manifold. Anyway, here are some preliminary pictures. So far I just have 2 of those spacers on there and it is still touching the intake manifold. I understand that I need 3 total.

There is a carbing one for sale. The guy is local here in california. You might want to jump onto that. The carbing kinda looks cheap tho but you definitely don't need spacer for it or anything. The only reason I have this TRD one was my cousin lent it to me as he is going to sell his supra soon. I'll buy it off him tho if he decides to part out the bar away from his supra

But yeah, the goal is to find a machine shop for them to create me a spacer thick enough to clear the intake manifold.

Why not just remove that plastic engine cover?

it's not the plastic engine cover that's in the way, it's the intake manifold. . . there were the few brave who actually shaved the intake manifold to fit the strut bar w/out using spacers. . .

That is just ballsy. I wouldn't be able to do that. Since you are getting spacers keeping the engine cover for that added stock look! I like the way it sits right now (minus the washers)!

Anyone know of any pre-made spacers to mount the TRD bar? I saw some from way back in the day that a member had made, but is there anything available today? Thanks!

you can acquire those black rings on top of the struts and double them up and use that as a spacer. I took my strut brace off after it claimed my Lexus badge, like I was told it would do and added a "spacer" to it..
