OK Now I Got A W58 ?? Whats the difference
OK so I got a two options on trans. both need to be rebuilt and both are for 100 bucks. One is an R154 from an MKIII Supra and the other is a W58 from a 86 MKIII Supra. But my question is for the W58 what is the difference in years of the W58 would the speedo work on my cluster from the 86 W58 and would i need to do the shifter extension on this to make it work properly in my 92 SC ???
I would go with the r154 and you will probably need the shifter housing extension that came on the soarer along with shifter lever. Also you will need to get the goose neck shifter. This way is a little cheaper than the shifter extension way but it takes sometime to find the parts.
I have the part numbers on a thread that I have my 2jz ge parts for sale and I will have an extra goose neck shifter once I install my shorten shifter in my r154.
