weird noise in powersteering... HELP!
so i have a 1997 sc400.
my powersteering pump broke awhile ago and i have replaced it with a refurbished powersteering pump.
it made this noise, like a spinning noise, so it must be the pump itself. it gets louder as rpms go higher till a certian point, it also gets louder as i spin the steering wheel. but im sure its cause the system had to be "burped"...
once i burped it, the noise went away. however, after say 25-50 miles of city-highway driving the noise comes back. this has been happening consistantly.
i also changed the lid of my powersteering reservoir with my bf's sc300 and it went away, but same thing, came back...
any ideas?
should i really use dextron [i think 3] fluid? regular powersteering fluid is in it right now. also should i burp it more? maybe theres hidden pockets of air?
please help! TIA

If you sit still in a parking lot and work the steering wheel back and forth lock to lock, you'll get all the air bubbles out of the power steering system and the noise should go away.
Sounds like this is still your problem to me.
