Default Thicker oil to use to prevent oil leak?

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend some thicker oil than 5w30 that wont leak as much with a small oil leak from the front main seal? right now with 5w30 the oil will drip like water when the car is running. but when the car is off, it doesn't leak. so i was just wondering what thicker oils out there so when the car runs it won't drip like water.

I thought the stock oil was 10w30.

Running a thicker oil can make the engine run hotter.

Not to mention worse gas mileage and less HP.

If it "drips like water" I don't think there's much you can do besides fix the leak. Going to a thicker weight won't help much.

the stock oil is 5w30.in the manual it also says you can use 10w30 i'm sure you can use some thicker oils but you have to be aware of the temperature.i just switched to 10w30 but when the cold wheather returns i'll be going back to 5w30.

stock is 5w30, but if your leaking that bad you just need to tear it apart and replace the seal otherwise you may be replacing an engine instead of just a seal..

Where does it leak from

If it doesn't leak when the engines off it might just be the valve cover gasket. That's pretty simple and cheap to replace.

The oil is dripping from the front main seal. But only drips when the car is running (oil becomes thinner when hot) so thats why it doesn't leak when the car is off since the oil is cold and is much thicker.

I have 5w30 in there right now and it doesn't leak when it's cold but when it runs it leaks, so maybe I need to switch to 5w20? and see if it still drips?
