Default Fan Clutch question

Are the fan clutches the same between the GTE and GE engines?

fan clutches? or the fan itself? The fan itself is not the same. GTE is a little smaller. I'm willing to bet that the clutch is the same though.

Yah...I found out about the blade differences the hard way. Before buying a new $120 blade from Yota, I want to be sure I can use my existing fan clutch.

I had the FAL 210 dual pullers which are claimed 2500CFM. I used to think those where a good quality fan, but after one motor took a dump and the 2nd was failing I took it apart to see if it could be repaired. The craftsmanship of the motor was absolutely horrid. The jumper wires on the motor where frayed and some solder joints look like they where done by an elephant on ectacy. The semi working motor was approaching the same failure point. These fans where less than a few years old with not many driving hours on them. That is unacceptable quality from a part that should have a VERY VERY HIGH MTBF.

That is why I'm going back to OEM reliability. Toyota paid some engineer a good bit of money to make these parts on our cars work and work for a LONG time. Why try to reinvent the wheel with something less efficient?

I understand i guess ive been lucky due to my middle sized intercooler compared to other people. In the past i had cooling issues running monster sized intercoolers.

Yah I remember you mentioning that at Truck Stop. I already have a Griffen core, so I'm not too worried about replacing the rad yet and I have a stock shroud ready to go.
