99sc300vvti.82K on it. A couple weeks ago i noticed a lil sputter off and on at low quick accelleration but would still make power as RPMS increased. Today it drove fine for a little now putters all through RPM range(mostly under 3K) almost thought it was running on 5 cylinders. But at a stand still sometimes it'll rev up fine? Checked my intake, PCV also bypassed my fuel ecu just incase.. no change. Does it sound like a plug issue? its a bit of a process to take em out and some doe$ for platnum duel tipped plugs it reccomends. Please help just got laid off and need insight lol
might sound odd to you, but did you wash your engine recently? Do you have a leaking valave cover gasket. water or oil could drip down the valley between the 2 valve covers into the sparkplug sockets.. but if not could well be a spark plug worn out. or possible tps going. maybe you have a catalyst clogged. i can go on. but see if you have a pending check engine light? what does it come up as if any?
No I havnt washed it.. guess ill see if the fuel filter is bad 2marro since im laid off and if thats not it ill start digging into the plugs unless anyone has any good suggestions ?
pulled the fuel filter in a method i didnt want to one side loosened. the other side i had to cut off.. so now im going to have put some ghetto clamp style filter on now i cant even blow threw the old one to see if it was bad.. horrible morning and now i have nooo gas
ok so after the mission of a fuel filter. i put some injector cleaner and some new gas in in drove it slow seemed fine low throttle untill i floored it. Felt like it was gunna pull then started doing the bogging ***** again...
so I picked up some NGK Iradium tipped plugs and installed for the first time on this vehicle.. bit of a process but i got it done. first start and ride seemed good.
