Default CX RACING ALuminum radiator? SC/Supra

Anyone used them on your Lexus or Supra, long term or short term?

the intercooler stuff you almost cant go wrong.
but for a radiator, the variables are a little more extreme.

I had experienced with a Godspeed radiator on a track car and it ballooned up after 1 season of hot laps and smoking tires. still held water with no leaks but the aluminum radiator was deformed.

Alot have to do with the quality of aluminum and stencil strengths of the edges and joints, i believe. A copy design may not be merely as dependable, but i ve never experienced it with this, besides the miata track car, so my opinions are not creditable..

therefore, hoping to get some feedback.

a few of the guys at R & D Factory, in Montebello run the CX Racing aluminum radiators on some of their 240's on the track, and they seem to be okay. CX Racing is not Koyo or ARC, but for the price its does what it needs to do.

^ thanks for the info.

i ll check out the r&d factory @ montebello, guys see if i can get an opinion if no one on here has tried them or have any knowledge of them.

i like trying out new things and getting honest opinions on them so others can benefit from it as well.

i have a vendor account with them, and so with other radiator manufacutrers.

i ve used them for some intercooler cores and some fabricating materials.

but no experiences on the radiators.
the reason i asked, is because with my account they are so
inexpensive i might buy 2 just to try them out.

unless of course there are good reasons not to do so.... like ballooning? haha.

I tried to get one from them under a month ago and they claimed they didn't have any. Good luck let us know how it works. I ended up with a mishimoto one because of it.

they do have in stock. got word back from the owner of CX racing.

they are apparently a thick 2 row aluminum design.

I decided to get a 3 row radiator instead.

ended up going with these after some research and phone calls from different manufacturers.

so far i am happy with the outcome, and until fitment and beating, i will follow up on the review.

bought a few to test on some cars.

some mods to the shroud, battery tray. done.

i wanted to keep the stock shroud and clutch fan.

i ll need to go home to clean up the tabs for the shroud so it will look professional. so far its secured with large washers for the time being but its sturdy.

radiator support tabs need cut a tad, and bolt holes to be slotted to align symmetrically, but i will get that done when i go home with some proper tools and machines.

this is it for now. removal, slight cutting on the shroud, battery tray, drilling and installation - roughly about 40-50 minutes on average.

now time for testing on the dyno.

i was averaging about 162- 190 degrees
from warm up to 70mph on dyno for 30 minutes.

now 137-150 degrees.

not too shabby... now lets see if there are any defects after a couple of months of summer weather and hard driving.
