usdm 6spd tt front clip swap
a buddy of mine got rear ended pretty bad in his 97 tt supra. so now he has a perfectly good front clip that he will sell to me. he does not want to sell it at all, but he says that if i want it he'll sell it to me. its a complete front clip from the front seats to the front bumper, and also with the rear diff. no drive shaft since that was bent in the accident. the other half of the supra was soo bad that he simply chopped and recycled the metal at a yard. an H2 with a bumper kit rear ended him on the 99. the supra is completely stock minus a greddy bov and intercooler. he says he'll sell it to me, but i have to give him a reasonable offer. if not its going into his miata. dont ask why, but he wants to make the ultimate sleeper miata. i have till the summer since he has no time to do anything until the summer. so i ask you CL members, what would be a reasonable price? comes with front seats, 6spd transmission, rear diff, tt brakes/rotors, stock ecu w/ AEM piggyback, and everything else in the engine bay. only thing i would have to source out would be the driveshaft and rear axles.

i live in cali, and turboing my sc is pretty difficult to do due to the smog communist party here. plus i dont want to have to swap out the non smog legal parts every time my times up. so i thought this would be the ultimate smog-legal daily driven 6spd tt swap.

$6500 if its a friend....a v160 and a GTE together you can get for around $4800 or so. All the other accessories are worth about 1500 or so...so id say $6500 is a good offer.

I was looking into this as well and wanting to do the same swap. You're going to have to have the engine bar'd, take it to the state ref, smogged, etc. One of the criteria was the engine had to be the same year or newer, and that you couldnt be putting a truck engine in a miata. getting a usdm tt swap into my 93sc and having it smog legal is much easier than having a jdm swap since everything i need is there already. i took a look at the motor yesterday and its still good. still starts up and everything as well, but its loud as well since theres no exhaust, but other than that still running good.
