Why stop at LS1 when they get all the way up to 7? Who needs money?

Again, swapping one into the SC will be difficult, expensive, and I do not think better in power band and tq curve than a properly tuned and blown 1UZ.

Thing is, there aren't many blown and properly tuned 1UZ's anywhere in the world...Especially in an SC or a Supra. So, hard to gauge until we get our projects done, dyno them and get some real experience.

While I agree that swapping the SC would be far from cost effective to the LS1/2/3/X platform, you have some pretty blatant misconceptions about the motor and driveline. First and foremost, I've owned both an LT1 car, and 2 LS1 cars (98 Z28/99 FRC C5). The LT1 went straight to built motor, blower, etc - but the other 2 I did heads, cam, LSX intake, simple bolt ons, and spray, and both ran quite strong. The Z off bottle w/the HCI, Full exhaust, TB/Injectors did 428HP/407TQ - and on the M6 I still got 25+ MPG all day long.

For anyone wanting to do the swap, its a great idea. As I said, its not going to be cost effective in the short term. Fabrication, trial and error, and coming up solutions to the electrical challenges would be a major PITA. However, in the long run I'm sure it would be rewarding as can be based simply on the fact that the mod-ability of the LSX platform is phenomenal, and you would be the pioneer of a one-off set up.

I'd love to see someone do this - just don't expect it to be cheap!!!

I plan on swaping my LS1 drivetrain over to my SC400, just not sure if I want to do it now, or after summer.

I have this SC400 just sitting in my yard.

Was like this till I blew the tranny.

Now I think she needs my LS1 set up out of my S13.

Agreed. It actually does get expensive because almost every bolt on factory LSX motors are torque to yield. Lol, so if you're rebuilding it, plan on expenses there too.
