machine shop to do shifter extension
Hey all
looking for a good welder/machineshop/welder
that can do the R154 shifter extension
yes I know drift motion can do it, but I've heard bad things about their quality...
Thanks

i am in the same boat. I am seriously considering this http://tech2motorsports.com/tech-2-m...n/g-51501.aspx although i did talk to guys at carson toyota (cali) and they said they are ordering a oem part that may work for us. bad news it will be a week till it gets there and they aren't sure if it will work or not.

had his setup done cheap,
tough if someone offered the service, I'd pay for it... like $100?
So far I have $8 in square tubing, $3 in 1"x0.5" flat steel, and $40 to my welder. I added 2.5" to the length because i figured that's about where the soarer shifter was. I measured the metal tubing, then cut it in my vise with a hacksaw.

I've seen samples of their welding, and it's horrible, looks like a monkey was welding it.....
how bad would it be if your in the middle of shifting on the highway and the shifter linkage comes apart??
I rather patch it up using JBweld
