Default Water pump?

So Im completely new at working on a Lexus. My car before this one was a 5.0 mustang.
COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
I need to replace the water pump in my 93 sc400 and I have no idea how to do it. Ive asked several people and no one seems to know how. All Ive gotten is that its run by the timing belt and I have to get to that to replace it. Since I dont have the $ to spring for a manual Im just kind of winging it.
If anyone has any tips or even can direct me to a website that has the installation steps that would be awesome.

I used the search and found an old thread that had some dead links. Nothing that explains it or has any newer links.

If you have $10, go to www.techinfo.toyota.com/ and download the ENTIRE MANUAL in PDF.
That is the best $10 you will ever spend.
It will take you a few hours though.

Is the water pump installation the same for both 400's and 300's?

No...completely different engines.

Here's an online tutorial done on the LS400 which is the same engine as your SC400.

So, pay $10 for a one day access and you can download the entire service manual?

Why pay if other sites give better instruction than TIS?

I always search here first to try and find real world experiences with a repair, and then use the manual as a supplement.
If there is another site that covers as much material as the manual, is <=$10, and is easy to follow, please post the link so I can use it. Thanks

You need to download each page/section. It took me a few hours. As you can see above, many links were posted that have information regarding your repair. You do not need the manual for this repair since there are detailed writeups around here, but to me, having the manual is a valuable supplement.

I am not doing a water pump swap. I am looking to get my hands on a service manual and read your post. Did not know how that site worked is all. Thanks for the info.
