Default to everybody running this mod... chime in please

any problems with long term use, i saw 2 years without a problem....

i am thinking of putting in a switch on the wire and switching on to get pull if needed off the line and off when done....

example: switch on to merge (or overtake a lane) from a stop then off before the harsh 1St gear down shift occurs.

any input greatly appreciated............

I cut the wire to the soleniod and have firmer shifts, and better off the line pull.nothing hurt so far,all good i have a 92sc400 with bfi,kn drop-in,deleted 3rd cat,to dual n1 mufflers, and sometingelse im forgetting but for the most part this mod has done nothing but help my performance.I havent seen a downside to this except the few obd2 guys for some reason..

Jeeze man, slow down.

You've asked the question in other places so wait for it to be answered! Bumping the old thread is just going to get you the same answers from the same people who would have done their best to answer your thread as soon as they got to it.

I was adding it to this thread so this one would have a picture on it too.

I unplugged mine, turning onto the freeway car downshifted hard and stalled out. Wouldn't start until the key was fully pulled out and put back in. Im going to keep it unplugged for a little longer and see if I get the same issue, seems like I might have another problem.

I cut the wire on my car a year ago and have had no problems at all.
Going to wire it to my "power" switch for the transmission this summer, so I can turn on and off.

I'm wondering that too. I read this whole thing but it doesn't look like anyone did.

The upside: when you step on the gas, you feel the power, the car literally pushes you back into the seat. I love it.

The downside: from 1st to 2nd gear, it shifts at 4500rpm. From 2nd to 3rd, it shifts at 5100rpm. I haven't tried from 3rd to 4th. This can get kind of annoying, but you can override it by putting it into low gear or 2nd. One more thing is, since my car is a 1996 OBDII, I got a check engine light.

Thanks a lot KC95SC400 for this find, and if you find a way to trick the ECU, let me know.
Found what I was looking for. Did you ever get the early shifting figured out?

i plan on doing this to my 97 vvt-i...and i have a question / possible fix for us obdii peeps...

why not unplug the sensor...and simply plug another into the plug and tie it up out of the way essentualy making the ecu think the sensor is plugged in and all is well.....???

sound like it SHOULD work ya?
