GT40r vs T67 turbo
I've been doing some research but haven't seen much discussion about the Gt40r turbo. I was leaning towards the t67 but my friend is a big fan of the garett gt40r.
My goals right now are 350-400whp with room to grow and I want my turbo choice to be a quality one.
Any thoughts or analysis of the two?

A 67 should do upper 300's low 400's on relatively low boost and if you want room to grow it definitely provides that. I originally had mine on a stock compression motor and lag wasn't bad at all.
Also, my friend was saying that Garrett offers warranties on their turbos so that if you blow it up, you can get a new one for ~300, anyone know about this?

I've run a 57/61/63/67/3582r/4082/4088r and your best bet is the 4082r, or if you can't afford it the journal straight 40. Great pump gas number, excellent transient response when compared to a 67, available with a divided housing, and room to move when you want more power, as well as lower IAT's.

I agree ....the 40r is a much better turbo by far....lag is not an issue. i would no go crazy on the exhaust housing if you are concerned with lag.
Now I'm considering the Gt35r after seeing this
