Question Lsd?????????????????????????

Guy I want to know if the Lsd unit out of a 02 IS300 will work in my 99SC400? And are there any mods need it to make it work. Or is it more like the Lsd out of the supra tt auto? Any one know the final gear drive on the IS300 auto? Thank you.

I don't think IS300s even have LSD units anyways, no V8 Lexus models had them, why would they put one on an IS300?

Even if it did had one, I highly doubt it would work. The IS300 cannot take diff parts from other Lexus models like the GS or SC.

Thanks for the info. But I heard that Lexus offer LSD in IS300. Any more input would be great.

Their spanking new 415HP IS-F doesn't even have an LSD. A lowly 300 would most definitalty not have one.

I wish Lex would use LSD's instead of emulating them with automated breaks. I guess in the long run it is quieter and safer than a mechanical slip.

That's what I thought. Now does anyone know if it will work on the SC400?

is300 did have a factory lsd option. my buddy has it on his is300 5sp.

the is300 diff and/or the pumpkin is NOT interchangeable with mk4 supra/sc/gs diffs.

the is300 diff is very similar to the mk3 supra diff. you can take a mk3 supra diff and put it in the is300 pumpkin. im not 100% on this info. my is300 buddy vaguely told me about it a while ago.

Thank you for your input. Will keep looking around for a supra LSD.

Hey so how about this one...

My friend swears that the SC300 came with a VLSD. Me and him were arguing about it the other day.

Is there any truth to that? Cuz I'm pretty sure it didnt. We both have '92s btw.
