Default Possible plug/wire problem?

Alright so my 93 SC300's thermostat went out causing the hose that comes off of the heater core into the block to break (at the block side) , all of the steam came from there and I'm assuming leaked down the nice \_/ area, burning up quickly. So I cut down the hose and reattached it, and replaced the thermostat. Now at idle it feels like it sometimes burps real quick, just one cyl I'm assuming, it may be that the gas doesn't ignite and then next time it just blows too hard. Steam was pouring out of the car when the hose blew, even coming out of the front part where the wires go to the distrib.
