light hesitation on 400
About 1200 miles ago I installed a set of new plugs and plug wires, and lost my light hesitation that I was having at low throttle position around 40-50 MPH.About 200 miles ago I noticed it coming back, but It seemed like if I put Lucas fuel injector cleaner in the fuel it ran perf. But on this last tank it seems like it still has a low Rpm jerk. I have a new fuel filter and no CEL. I did not replace the dist. caps and rotor buttons. Just wondered if anyone else is at the same place as me. I know the 95 SC400 has some MAF issues.

Hate answering my own questions but, after pricing two dist, caps and rotor buttons at the local parts house, I pulled the dist caps off and took a look and they looked like new. The car was well maintained at a local Lexus dealer, but I didnt expect the caps have been replaced, but they appear to be. I am probably thinking the injectors need to be checked and proffesionaly cleaned. I think Ill save that for when the intake manifold has to be pulled to replace the starter.

I have this same problem. I even bought a new MAF sensor from Carson to no avail. Some days the hesitation is worst than others.
I have 137,000 miles on my 95 SC400, and the plugs were changed at 95,000 about three years ago.
This is the only problem w/ my ride, and I'd like to fix it.

My car only has 129,000. Sometimes I think its because I dont blow it out enough, with the price of gas, Im doing that less and less. Seems to do it worse when its cold, but still at a light throttle when warm. Weird thing is when I do get on the throttle even a little or a lot, it runs like a new car.

I had a coil wire go bad after only about 10K on new wires that was doing something similar. Double check that your wires are good. Also, clean your throttle body and your MAF sensor and of course your air filter. Have you ever changed your fuel filter?

As stared earlier, I have a new fuel filter, and my plug wires only have around 2500 miles, new fuel filter, and I cleaned the MAF wire before the plug wires and it didnt help.

You know, some days its less noticeable. As a side note, since I installed blue plug wires, I noticed that the drivers side coil wire wants to lay on the end of the valve cover. I think that rubbing and heat would not be a good thing on that coil wire. I had an old o.e. coil wire from a 91 MR2 that had a clear plastic curly protector on it, so I removed it and put it on the Lexus coil wire.
