There are quite a few options available to you that can do that. If you would like more information about parts available for you motor feel free to post in the Engine/Performance section. You'll get alot more responses there.

1) To fix a rich condition.
2) To think you can save gas but really, are damaging the engine. LOL.

The device is called a wideband.

The reason you would lean out your air/fuel is so your car will run more efficiently. More efficient = better gas mileage, faster, doesn't foul your plugs, etc.

But it is better to be too rich than too lean...

I wanted to lean out my AFR for fuel consumption reasons like DX3 said. I also forgot to say that i have a Blue E-Manage on hand, so is it possible to use that for the reasons intended or should i just sell it and get the SAFC-II.

all a wideband does is tell you real-time AFR. has nothing to do with adjusting it. You'll need a Apexi SAFC1 or SAFC2, unless you have AEM EMS or E-Manage, like you said you do have, so in the end the E-Manage should be all you need.

But in all reality, it sounds like you need to take it to a professional tuner, and dont risk it. A couple fat-fingered clicks here and there can destroy your engine. If you think you're running too rich there might be something wrong with the car, not just needing to be "leaned out".

My car isn't awefully rich, but 14 MPG is beyond my tolerance and i'd like to lean it out a little. I do have the Emanage blue ,but which is easier to tune with Emanage or SAFCII?? Also i don't plan on leaning without and EGT and WB..

I'd look at a few different area's before trying to lean the car out.

For instance, does your car have aftermarket wheels? Any performance upgrades? Do you drive with a heavy foot? when was the last time you did a tune-up, plugs & wires-(if it has a dist.), fuel filter, air filter, etc. If stock, have you tried a different air filter? what kind of fuel are you using?

Nature of the beast. But attacking fuel directly might not be the way to go about this.
