Default Little help? My SC300 is dying...

OK, so I've been having some troubles with my SC300 of late. It's a 1994 model, and well, here's the thing - sometimes when I use the blinkers or step on the brakes, the electricity in the whole car (i.e. backlighting behind dashboard, CD/Radio, etc.) goes out and this is usually accompanied by the whole car giving a nice big "shudder." In the past couple days, it also died on me twice - the engine just stopped - but thankfully, both of these times it happened in the parking lot at my work and I was able to start the car up again.

This isn't the first time my car has died on me - it has happened 2 or 3 times before in the 2+ years that I've owned it (once was on the Bay Bridge...which wasn't a whole lot of fun). It died on me for good once and I had the battery and alternator replaced but it seems the problem has once again reared its ugly head. I'm guessing it's some sort of electrical problem or something, but yeah...anyone know what's going on here?

Can I do that myself or do I need to see a mechanic? Unfortunately, I'm not the most car-savvy person around.

If you can find your grounding points, just clean them up with some sandpaper and make sure you have a good connection to the body.
