Default How strong are the SC axles?

Just as the thread title states, I'm wondering how strong the stock axles are? I'm gonna be headed to the drag strip next month and am gonna be launching the Getrag/TT Auto LSD, with anti lag, 2step, and on MT drag radials. I also have just put in a Carbonetic triple disc to handle the abuse. I'm just curious as to if I need to worry about breaking axles on the launch. Do the SC axles handle the launches pretty well? Thanks.

i wouldnt worry about it. i broke the diff before doing anything to the axles. personally i have never heard of axles failing on supra/scx00 in general....and i know a few people with high hp supras.

best of luck. get back to us when you get back from the strip. post times

Yeah, I'm wondering if I'm making enough power to click of an 11sec slip. My car is full weight, sub/amps and all, but I did cut a little weight with ridding myself of the stock seats for Sparco's, so it's probably a wash. I'm gonna put some C16 in, set my suspension up a bit, and hope for the best, but I really wanna run 11's.

I bent my driver side axle, but didn't notice it till the differential broke. This was closer to 800rwhp on drag radials.

I'm not anywhere near that right now. I still need to install my fuel system, cams, and intake manifold, then I'll turn the boost up, because I'm outta fuel at the present moment. With the power I'm making, and at just about full weight, I'm just a bit curious as to what it's capable of. Assuming a good launch of course. I was just a bit worried about the axles during the launch off the 2step/anti lag.
