my steering is confusing me...

sometimes when the wheel is straight the car goes straight...until you make a right turn...then when you start going straight again the wheel doesn't come back to center.

when I make a substantial left turn it seems to resolve itself til another right!

I already took it for an alignment but that was pretty much a waste.

 

your steering rack bushing is shot....
same thing happened to my Nissan 240sx

replace it and trouble free

 

rack bushings FTW!!!

buy a new set. it takes about 1.5 hours to do them with hand tools and jack stands.
