Someone at Lexus told me the injectors are pretty solid on these cars. What year sc? SC300 or SC400?

Is the base timing correct? Can you have the car emissions tested? That can really help.

im getting a slight shake while driving, mostly at highway speeds. Ive changed fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, sea foamed it, pcv valve. The engine has 130 k with original timming belt and the plug wires look o.e. as well. The idle in park is just above the second line. I also notice when i turn on the ac the car just wants to GO. I hate it. What causes the car to want to take off when the ac is on? And where is the egr? i have a 95 sc4

I have been experiencing a very similar problem with my 1996 SC400. Here's a list of recent stuff I've done:
1. Faulty high flow cats from a previous coil pack failure - it dumped unburnt gas into the exhaust.
2. Replacement bank 2 coil pack
3. O2 sensor spacers to clear the CEL (they worked)
4. Oil change (Mobil 1 synthetic)
5. Trans fluid change
6. Power steering pump
7. coolant top off (system tested - no leaks)
8. NGK Iridium IX plugs
9. NGK plug wires
10. driver's side pre-cat O2 sensor.
11. Starter replacement (including replacing all intake gaskets)
12. New o-rings on the injectors

My symptoms are pulsing idle, bucking, flashing CEL, mild/moderate loss of power. The one thing I've noticed is on the passenger side coil pack, the plastic clip (not the one to the distributor, but the other one) is broken. It's being held in there by some sticky silicone but it could be a poor connection.

My mechanic friend says the flashing CEL means random misfires. So for now, just like most of you, I am stumped.
