Default Using Wideband O2 in place of OEM

So it is neccesary that I weld in the bung for the wideband O2 or is it possible for me to remove one of the OEM O2's in the header and replace it with the wideband. will the disrupt the ECU?
I have an Autometer Phantom wideband. I searched but I couldnt find the right answer. thanks guys

I would just get the bung welded on. It takes a few minutes and you won't have to worry about car throwing a CEL.

well from my readings i found out that the innovate wideband systems can be used for your oem signal. you can go to the website adn read the manual... also there are bungs you can buy that allows you to mount your wideband into the oem 2 bolt location.
here is one i found at 935motorsports.com

also i agree with curry though, i would rather just run the wideband seperate so you dont throw a CEL in case it was done wrong, i have mine seperate and it runs fine.

or you can go with a zeitronix zt-2, it sends out a signal for the oem o2 sensor also.
