I have been searching the forums but could not really find what Im looking for...sorry im pretty new at this sc stuff...but I drove my car all day started up fine all electrical was good...then on my way home at night my car started acting funny my cd player turned off wouldnt come back on...my head lights went out and my dash lights got dimmer....and the battery light came on, the air bag light came on and the ABS light came on....my car still drove though a/c was working fine...so i made it home parked my car turned it off for a while...head lights work now dash lights are ok but still no cd player and car wont start jus clicks...my alternator is pretty new so I dont think its that..could be my starter or maybe just my battery not sure...if some had these problems could you help me out...dont want to pay a mechanic if i can do it...plz help me out...if possible plz post step by step and mayb piks kinda new so dont really know everything...thanks

 

Try to jump start your car. If it starts, then most likely it's the battery. When the battery started to go out on my SC300 and GS430, my cars had the same symptoms.

 

Clicks once = starter (most likely)

Clicks repeatedly = battery (most likely)

Try all the ground wires, too. There's several..you have to search the forums for the locations. One that I know of is at the alternator. Comes from the battery. Seems like these cars are really particular about electricity. All grounds need to be cleaned periodically.

thats EXACTLY what just happened to me last week.. (2 weeks ago)

yea first my radar goes crazy..
then my ABS light turns on
battery light turns on
radio doesnt work
lights start turning off
tac turns off
then sooner or later car turns off :O

well it was my alternator and battery.. soo yea i just replaced those two and now im back in business! :]

 

Check your alternator. Its not charging.
