do a compression test- it'll tell u some good info about the motor.

does it burn oil? any weird noises? have u done regular oil changes/routine maintenence? the little things really do add up over time, especially considering how these cars aren't getting any younger.

DaveH ran 9's at 150+mph on a 200k miles old "spare" motor . It all depends how it's been maintained.

make sure you're not losing any fluids, check your hoses/wires for cracks/rot, etc.

I would say, seafoam the engine and if it still runs great, you're probably ready for boost. My engine has 125k miles and it runs like clockwork.

Do a compression test. That will tell you a lot about the condition of the motor.
