Default Turning up Trans line pressure.. SC400

Im looking to get a little bit firmer shifts from my auto sc400. I was told that bumping up the line pressure in the trans would help.. This is my question how can this be done. Im not real familure with tranys so im in hte dark on this one.. Anyone know how this can be done?? any help is greatly accepted..

In other cars, there is a drop resistor that can be unplugged to have the tranny shift at full line pressure.

That's the one that got my attention awhile back. I wonder if there would be much improvement if I didn't do the shims, but adjusted the part where the pressure regulator was set to maximum.

shim the springs, you will get faster shifts.

All the automatics are ECT...

If you mean the 1998+ cars, I would think it would have the same effect.

dont shim, just stuff a rod inside the spring and completely immobiize the accumulator

Yeah, I meant the 98+ models... I think the "PWR" setting actually increases the valve pressure, so I was wondering if messing with it by hand would screw it up somehow.
