Default Tranny question?

I have had my car for about 5 months now and I think the overdrive is not working properly at 55 mph the car is running at 2k rpm.. at 80 its at a nice 3k rpm wise.. is this normal? I searched and came up with nothing... any advice is welcome..

Thanks

Mike

Um, that's about normal. I'm on a 5 speed SC400 and run 80 a little sy of 3k RPM.

My old Celica ran almost 4k RPM at 80.
