Default Magnaflow mufflers

I'm thinking about buying these mufflers off ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magna...QQcmdZViewItem) They are Magnaflows 5x8 Muffler 2.25"Inlet 4"Tip 14" body 14829.

I was wondering if any type of fabrication and or modifications will be needed if i am keeping the stock exhaust pipes.

There are quite a few members on this forum that run these same mufflers. I suggest searching to find answers

You will remove you're stock mufflers and a custom pipe will have to be made to attach the Magnaflow to you're current exhaust. Easy as that.

As far as I know, Magnaflow does not offer a full cat-back set up for our SC's.
Any muffler shop can replace your stock units with these and still retain the stock piping and so forth.
Plenty of members here buy a pair of these universal mufflers and fab up their own system. I had these 2 mufflers with 2.25 inch piping from the 3rd cat/resonator back on my old ride(sc400).
Here's a pic of my old set-up for reference...
Hope this helps

I have a guy at a local shop who can get me these mufflers for about 160 for a pair. He would probably do the mounting job for around 30-40ish. Give or take 10 bucks. So you're looking *if you can get a deal like that* between 180-200 bucks for everything mufflers included.

Jewcano is right,
Most muffler shops will charge between 30-50 bucks for installing the mufflers.

I bought my mufflers from the Performance Peddler...The 14829's go for $91 bucks a piece....check them out, shipping is free and it arrives like in 2 days

Hey guys, before you buy try www.hottexhaust.com with code "BRYP15", great price and free shipping! I have a 14829 on my RX300 and love it.

Not an SC but it's just another pic of the actual muffler itself.
