Default r154 drive shaft issue, mk3 front won't fit

mk3 front drive shaft won't go in. yes its from a 90 mk3 turbo r154,. does any body knows if there's a spline pattern for it to fit. i got about 1/2 inch in, does it require a big hammer. i have a soarer tranny r154

from what i read on here i already seen someone with the same problem and his rear drive shaft was from his automatic sc300, i think you would need the rear shaft from a 5 speed sc300 or from the 5 speed soarer for it to fit correctly... someone correct me if i am wrong. or go do some reasearch about it

This isn't what he is talking about^^^.

If it is from an MKIII R154 turbo transmission (year is irrelevant long as it's MKIII), then it will fit if it's an R154 trans. There's pretty much 3 options at this point:

A. You do not have an R154 trans
B. You do not have an r154 front halfshaft.
C. Either there is problem with the splines on the shaft or there is a problem with the splines in the trans.

That about covers it.

If you can post pics up of everything I can tell you.

Remember that automatic sc300 splines will go into the r154 if you can't figure out what is wrong. The total length will just be a little short.

true that i missed the part that says the splines does not go IN... but anyways if you have an automatic i still think that the rear half shaft will be too short anyways...

sorry about that guys

Rear shafts are the same length with both auto and manual drive shafts. The front shaft is a different length

I agree with both LEMMIEWINK and 2JZLEX cause those are the same things I would be asking plus the lengths are correct.
