Default 2JZ-GTE in a SC Exhaust??

Sorry for the NOOB question guys.

Can I use any sc300 exhaust with a JDM GTE? My search didn't come up with anything. I also searched supraforums.com but no luck there either. Of course people have GTEs with exhaust on them so I need to know if its a bolt up or is thier any fab work needed or if it depends on the exhaust?

If anyone can find this or have already found this during a search I will be more then happy to follow a link. Maybe my search words weren't good enough? Any help will be great.

If you had the chance to post this again....... where would you put an exhaust question?

Moved.

I'd be guessing that it's not (since the wheelbases are different between the two cars). You could use the factory turbo merge pipe but you'd probably have to custom job the exhaust from there (if you're real lucky you could get away with the factory DP to cat.... but that's a BIG maybe).

You can run any sc300 exhaust system, but the supra system will not work.

I have a Supra HKS Super Dragger on my car. The main thing you gotta do since you have a gte motor is get like a rmm dp and extend it to bolt up to the exhaust and for the dragger you had to mod the stock gte hanger to fit the SC, the rest fits.

So, lets say I get a RMM Downpipe, then I would have to custom fab it to, lets say a Blitz Nur Spec SC300 exhaust? But that all the fab work needed?

If you get a RMM dp and a sc300 Blitz nur spec it should just bolt right up.

The thing with supras and sc300s everything leading to the mid cat is the same (to my knowledge) and the supra exhaust is what that is shorter because the sc300 is like ~6in longer. So if you are using a supra exhaust you would need to fab the midpipe longer or extend the exhaust. But since you are using a RMM (which is kinda like a dp/midpipe combo itself) and a sc300 exhaust should be fine without any modding.

Well there is a **** load of DP's for the supra you dont have to get the rmm one there are many imitations which are cheaper but its just a metal bent pipe and works the same.

It would be good if someone else that can also put some input on this. I don't want to be wrong and have this guy waste his money, lol.. I'm pretty sure thats how it is.

I have a 2JZGTE with an RMM downpipe and stock exhaust. All bolted right up. So id imagine any SC300 exhaust would be a straight bolt-on to a downpipe.

sorry to bump and old thread but it'd be nice to have all information in one thread so its here when people search.

What if you keep the JDM turbos (aristo) on the 2j? Will the RMM down pipe bolt up to the exhaust manifold, or will there need to be any modifications?
