it's a weird sound almost everytime i start the car, i think it was b/c after i installed the new alternator, i didn't know the proper way to take out or put back on the belt for it...all i did was take out the 2 bolts on the alternator, and then took the fan off and force the belt to come off and force it back on took me almost 3 hrs just to do this b/c i didn't know what else to do...do you guys think i might have broken something? it was my first time taking something off from a sc300 btw....

 

anyone here knows what might be wrong?

 

 

check if the guides for the belts matches. and if it has the right tension.

 

how do i check for the right tension? i'm a total newb...

 

ok, so i've changed my serpentine belt today but it's still doing that noise like an elephant...looking on top from the alternator side, is the belt supposed to be evenly lined up b/c for mines the belt on the alternator is not even with the rest of the pulleys or belt...i'll try to post up pics soon..??
