Default SC400 compression?

Well, I had my compression checked yesterday by a friend of a friend and he gave me these numbers.

He said the left side is 160 all the way down.

The right side is 160, 160, 60, 190.

I have no clue what these numbers mean but they sound bad because of the horrible difference.

He said I will need a valve adjustment.

My question is.

Do you guys know if that type of ratio is horribly bad?

Will i still be able to run it for a good while before i buy another 1uzfe?

You have 1 bad cylinder. The on at 60 has la low reading. I think its more than a valve adjustment and more like a piston ring. The engine will run fine. It'll just be down on power. Let me rephrase. I don't recommend leaving it that way for an extended period of time, but for a short period you should be ok.

Do you think you might be able to give me a rough ballpark estimate of how much longer driven daily.

Impossible to say. There is obviously a problem. ie a fatigued, poor fitting piston ring. The ring could hold where it is for 6 months or it could completely fail tomorrow. No way to be totally sure.

*sighs* Ok thanks a lot.

I just got done replacing the transmission, and i also need a water pump.

Well, looks like i'll be saving up for a 1uzfe.
