Default 400 won't shift into 4th!?

My 96 SC400 won't shift into 4th gear, my OD button is broken but this isn't the problem since the OD is permanently on now. I have that whine that everyone talks about and I hope it's the tranny mount. My tranny seems to run and shift fine except for this on huge problem. Also I just had the tranny serviced since it was running very poorly, runs great now 1st-3rd. I searched and couldn't really find anything, anyone have any ideas? thanks!

the bulb on the cluster is probally out.....how are you so sure that its working properly......try a different shifter and see if that fixes your problem....if not maybe one of the solenoids in the tranny arent shifting into 4th gear.......

i know it's ok because when i hopped the OD wires together the "OD off" light came on, i was really hoping that it was burned out, so i guess it seems that one of the tranny solenoids is out? Does anyone know how i would go about testing this to see what the problem is? thanks!
