SC400 troubles
I recently puchased my second SC the car ran great.. Until recently it wouldnt start my mechanic said jump it and charge the battery I did, and now when it first starts up you have to rev the engine till it warms up if not it will die. Does anyone know why? I dont want to bring it in to the mechanic till I know why so I dont pay a lot in labor. Thanks.

Sounds like a bad battery, or maybe it sat for awhile. That sounds fixed now.
Next, I would look for vaccum leaks, which are commonly from drying out vacuum hoses.
It also sounds like an Idle Air Control valve not opening and closing properly to allow the motor to fast-idle during warm up. You may remove it and clean it.
other than that, do a search on IAC valve to see if that seems like it may be it.

The computer needs to relearn the idle stratagy. Disconnect the battery
for a few minutes to reset it again. Restart the car, let it idle a few minutes
till operating temp. (1/2 on gauge) Then go for a 10 minute ride.
If its still no good, you'll have to clean the throttlebody & reset.
