Exclamation Help!!! (bIGjUSTINS 1jz-101 threads (no that is not a new engine designation))

I have been reading about how people have been getting
1jz front clips and I can't seem to find a website for them,
so plz send me site

I've seen a few on ebay. but there are other sites. I yahoo searched and found a few places, but didnt bookmark any nor rememeber off the top of my head.

search thru the forums you should get a few threads with some quality links

If I were to go and do the 1jz swap how hard is it to do, is there a bunch of custom work to be done?

Secondly, what all would i need?

Its very simple, I'll step you through it.

1. Buy a 1jz
2. Remove your motor from your SC. Make sure you remove your hood while doing this.
3. Put in the 1jz
4. Wire up the 1jz
5. Start engine.

As for custom work, you need to buy a mechanics suit to prevent oil from getting onto your shirt.

I'd research the subject to death, read the write ups that are out there, find out if that is something your capable of doing and willing do, and more importantly have the tools to do.

Figure out how much power you would like to have.
Stock Twin turbo? or Nice size single?
Intercooler size
Different intake manifold?

also make a parts list, and check your budget to see if you have enough, or need to save more.

I just finished a motor swap on my car and I planned it out, but sucked when I haad to wait for extra check(s) to come it to buy the cluch, other parts etc.


Planning and researching will save many headaches.

Probably more common sense than you are exibiting here with your questions.

1. You are about the 50th person to make something like this your first post.
2. Those who have swaped are unlikely to respond to your post and answer your question in any meanful way.
