I was just wondering if anyone knew if there are any issues with tapping that bolt near the oil filter to get high pressure oil to their turbo. I have a bad turbo now and I am about to start troubleshooting the cause.
It might be inadequate draining too. I tapped the oilpan as high as I could, but maybe that wasn't good enough. My turbo worked well for almost a year, but now it's dead.

I do appreciate any help
Whatever you do, install an oil restricter on the turbo inlet. This will prevent too much oil from flowing to your turbo (causing leaks etc) and keep your engine oil pressure higher (which is much better). Function7 engineering makes a good billet piece. Also, if you put a secondary filter in the oil feed line, this will help prolong turbo life.
