found an OBD-2 JDm 1JZ swap on ebay. but not really sure that the JDM ECUs came with OBD2 systems, wuld that mean that if you swap that motor harness and ecu into an OBD2 SC it will pass the emissions test where they plug your car into their computer? or is this a scam? any input will be great, this looks like a route i might take if thats the case.

ok....from observation.. that in no way is a 97 clip.. that dash set up has to be pre 97(gear shift etc and color). I thought the 1jzgte was from pre 92 vehicles... definitely a 1jzgte but OBDII ..... I don't know.. his prices are high too

i emailed the guy saing that and he said its actualy a 96 and it does have the OBD2 ecu, so do you think it can pass the US test like that? anyone have a 96+ 1JZ in their cars?

I thought ODB-II was only present in North American vehicles?

odb1 or 2 it should not matter its the same procedure you do just as a obd1 swap
