Exhaust Question. Keeping stock tips?
Hows it going guys...
Just bought a SC400, it's black with gold lettering and also has gold exhaust tips (stock). I am thinking about doing a black/gold theme, keeping the gold lettering, gold exhaust tips, and adding gold wheels.
My question:
If I bought 2 Flowmaster or Magnaflow mufflers, took them to a shop.. and had them installed without tips, do you think the shop would be able to cut the stock tips off the stock mufflers and weld them to the new mufflers?
Thanks.

Yep , it's been done. Scroll 1/2 way down, the 3rd pic the outer chrome
tips are over the 3" tailpipes.

I'd say stick w/ the magnaflow tips. IMO they look better than the tiny stock exhaust tips. The magnaflow's aren't too big or too small and fill in the bumper exhaust gap just perfectly if you have the muffler shop mount it right.
