Which Car?
I've owned a 92 sc300 2jzge and maybe wanna go back , I loved how easy it was to work with and reliablility was awesome! I've narrowed my search down to either an 00-02 ls1 fbody or a late model sc300 (vvti would be nice). Although the sc is a great looking car I would probobally get bored with the speed pretty quickly so my question is what are the easiest ways to get power out of that 3.0 liter? I think turbo is out of the question because i won't have the funds or a shop to get it done.

OBD1 SC300 with a 1JZGTE motor swap. Motor sets are $1200 complete and its a bolt in job becides extending 40 or so wires. You can do it all yourself with basic hand tools and a cherry picker and a weekend (or a month like me, working 1hr a day then getting sidetracked)
Average speed with just a boost controller is mid 13s @ 103 mph. 20mpg. 100% reliable.

i edited your post with the correct info....
if you need to, get on a plane to get the right SC. i drove 3 hours eachway for my first, and flew out and drove 8hours back for the second... its worth it. and in IL, you have planty of guys in Chicago that would be willing to help with anything you need.... (fellow members on CL)
