Yep, did it with the tranny still in the car. The engine mated with the tranny with no problems. I had some help with it. Its really not that hard on this car. Just takes some creative use of swivel socket adapters and extensions.
Lol you lucky guy own a FD and a SC300. My FD is in the process of being sold can't afford the insurance on it anymore. So how close does the 1jz pull compared to a stock FD? I am yet to drive a 1jz sc300. Are you on any of the rotory fourms?

The SC feels pretty damn close to how my FD felt when I first got it. But then again, the FD was an auto and was completely stock. Now its a half-bridge with a T66 so there's not much of a comparison.

Yeah!........ proper tools would def. make it faster too
Sweet well keep us updated with mods, other reason why im switching to the SC is its alot easier to mod. Don't have to worry to much about blowing an engine.
